One of the fastest-growing districts in the state, includes Erie, Frederick, Firestone, Dacono (Tri-Town/Carbon Valley), and parts of Longmont and Lafayette. This vibrant community is full of hardworking families, small business owners, and neighbors who deserve affordable living, accessible healthcare, and strong schools. I’m running to fight for you—to make sure our voices are heard, our challenges are met, and our community thrives. Together, we can bring fresh leadership, real solutions, and a brighter future for everyone in HD19.

House District 19

-Our Campaign-

This campaign is built to fight for Colorado and protect our communities from federal overreach, while staying focused on what matters most at home.

Our priorities are the three C’s: Cost, Care, and Classrooms. These are the pressures families in House District 19 feel every day. Costs are rising faster than paychecks. Healthcare and childcare are too expensive. Our public schools need to be strong, stable, and fully funded so every child has a real shot at success.

  • Colorado is being targeted by the Trump administration because we refuse to weaken our democracy or abandon our own laws in the face of political pressure. That is exactly why we must stand firm. I will fight to ensure our state protects everyone who calls Colorado home.

    Strengthen Colorado’s Shield Laws

Protect Coloradans from out of state penalties for lawful healthcare or civil rights.

    • Protect providers and patients from out of state prosecution

    • Prohibit state resources from assisting out of state investigations into lawful healthcare

    • Defend Coloradans from politically motivated legal attacks

Defend Civil Rights and Due Process

Colorado should not help enforce actions that violate constitutional rights.

    • Do not cooperate with ICE or any federal agency in operations that violate the rights of our community members

    • Require clear legal standards and judicial oversight before participating in joint federal operations

    • Expand access to legal representation and know your rights education

    Protect Privacy and Limit Surveillance

Government surveillance must never erode civil liberties.

    • Crack down on surveillance technology like Flock license plate cameras that collect and store vehicle location data, creating tracking & surveillance networks without meaningful oversight.

    • Require warrants and public reporting before deploying or sharing data from advanced surveillance tools.

    • Protect sensitive personal data, including healthcare and location information, from misuse.

    Legislation I support:

SB26-070: (ANTI-FLOCK) Ban Government Access Historical Location Information Database

SB26-005: (SUING ICE) Rights Violation in Immigration Enforcement Remedy

  • Families are forced to make impossible choices between rent, food, child care, and saving for the future. Too many corporations are passing hidden fees on to working people. At the same time, Colorado’s housing shortage and outdated policies are pushing teachers, nurses, small business owners, and young families out of the communities where they work and grew up.

    Solving the Housing Crisis

Colorado’s housing shortage is the biggest driver of rising costs. We need to build more homes, in more sizes and types, faster and make sure they are serving local families, not just investors.

    • Expand housing diversity statewide, including duplexes, triplexes, ADUs, cottage clusters, and small multifamily homes in urban residential areas.

    • Expand factory built and modular housing to lower construction costs and speed delivery.

    • Prevent unnecessary local anti growth land use restrictions that block housing supply.

    • Support use it or lose it policies on large scale vacant units held off market by corporate landlords.

    • Expand community land trusts and long term affordability programs to preserve permanent affordability.

    • Strengthen renter protections and enforcement against unsafe living conditions.

    Lower the Cost of Living

Families deserve relief from the rising cost of everyday essentials.

    • Hold Xcel Energy accountable for rolling blackouts and rapidly increasing rates.

    • Ensure that infrastructure costs for new data centers or major industrial users are not passed on to residential customers.

    • Reduce utility and energy costs through local energy choice programs and responsible grid modernization.

    • Expand investment in small business programs that improve access to capital, property, and technical assistance.

    • Support local economic development that brings good paying jobs without driving up housing costs.

    Support Working Families

Working families should be able to get ahead, not just get by.

    • Strengthen the Colorado Earned Income Tax Credit to put more money directly back into working families’ pockets.

    • Support housing vouchers and workforce linked programs that connect stable housing to job training.

    • Protect the right of workers to form unions and collectively bargain for fair wages and benefits.

    • Reform Colorado’s tax system responsibly by asking the wealthiest to contribute more so we can reduce the burden on lower and middle income families and fund cost lowering investments.

    Protect Consumers & Essentials

No one should be taken advantage of just for trying to pay their bills.

    • Crack down on deceptive pricing, junk fees, predatory lending practices, and exploitative buy now pay later schemes.

    • Enforce strong protections against price gouging on necessities during emergencies.

    • Increase transparency in pricing so families know the true cost upfront.

    • Strengthen enforcement authority at the state level to protect consumers from corporate abuse.

    Colorado Legislation I Support:

  • Families across House District 19 are struggling to afford healthcare and find reliable childcare. Costs keep rising, insurance is confusing, and too many people cannot get the care they need when they need it.

In rural and growing communities, provider shortages and limited childcare options make the problem even worse. Parents, workers, and seniors deserve a system that is easier to navigate, more affordable, and focused on keeping people healthy.

    Lower Healthcare Costs

Healthcare should be affordable and transparent for every family.

    • Increase transparency and accountability for Pharmacy Benefit Managers and insurers to lower prescription drug costs.

    • Require rebates and negotiated drug savings to be passed directly to patients.

    • Create public drug price tools so families can compare costs and avoid surprise charges.

    • Build on Colorado legislation that strengthens oversight of pharmacy benefit manager practices.

    Expand Access to Care

People should be able to get care close to home without long wait times or unnecessary costs.

    • Expand telehealth infrastructure so rural and underserved communities can access specialists and preventive care.

    • Support school-based mental health services, mobile response teams, and the 988 crisis line to provide early support and reduce emergency room visits.

    • Encourage preventive care and annual wellness visits so health problems are caught early before they become more serious and expensive.

    Help Families Navigate the System

Healthcare and childcare systems are often confusing and difficult to navigate.

    • Create a statewide healthcare navigator and ombudsman program to help families understand coverage, enroll in benefits, and appeal denied claims.

    • Provide free assistance so seniors, working families, and low-income residents can access the services they qualify for.

    Strengthen Rural and Local Providers

Communities need enough doctors, nurses, pharmacists, and childcare providers to meet local demand.

    • Expand training programs, loan forgiveness, and relocation incentives to attract healthcare and childcare workers to underserved areas.

    • Support rural clinics, independent pharmacies, and cooperative care hubs so people can receive timely care close to home.

    • Protect independent rural pharmacies that are often the only option in smaller communities.

    Affordable, High Quality Childcare

Childcare should support working families and help parents stay in the workforce.

    • Encourage employer-supported childcare partnerships that expand available childcare slots.

    • Support community cooperative childcare hubs that reduce costs for families.

    • Develop sliding scale childcare programs tied to income and local workforce needs so care is affordable where demand is highest.

Focus on Preventive and Outcome Based Care

Healthcare systems should reward keeping people healthy, not just treating illness.

    • Support outcome based healthcare payment models that reward providers for effective, affordable care rather than volume.

    • Invest in preventive care and early intervention that keeps families healthier and reduces long term costs.

    Colorado Legislation I Support

HB25-1300 – Workers' Compensation Benefits Proof of Entitlement

SB25-290 – Stabilization Payments for Safety Net Providers

HB25-1223 – Capital Needs of Rural and Frontier Hospitals

SB25-083 – Limitations on Restrictive Employment Agreements

HB25-1094 – Pharmacy Benefit Manager Practices

  • Colorado families want strong public schools that prepare students for the real world. But too many schools are underfunded, teachers are underpaid, and students do not always get the support they need to succeed.

Students today are growing up in a rapidly changing world shaped by new technology, including artificial intelligence. At the same time, many schools struggle to provide mental health support, career pathways, and basic resources that help kids learn and thrive.

    Prepare Students for the Future

Students should graduate with the skills they need to succeed in college, careers, and life.

    • Support career readiness programs that introduce students to real world job pathways.

    • Expand access to coding, digital literacy, and AI awareness so students learn how to use new technology as a tool rather than relying on it to replace critical thinking.

    • Strengthen financial literacy education so students graduate understanding budgeting, loans, and personal finance.

    • Build stronger connections between schools, community colleges, and career training programs.

    Support Teachers and School Staff

    • Strong schools start with supporting the people who work in them every day.

    • Meet Colorado’s obligation to properly fund public schools and pay teachers competitively.

    • Develop housing and workforce support programs that help teachers and school staff afford to live in the communities where they work.

    • Advance innovative approaches that improve teacher recruitment and retention, especially in rural schools.

    • Listen to the needs of local districts and ensure rural schools have a strong voice in the legislature.

Expand Student Support and Mental Health

Students learn best when they feel safe, supported, and healthy.

    • Increase access to school counselors, psychologists, and mental health services.

    • Support peer support networks and wellness programs that help students build resilience and manage stress.

    • Strengthen partnerships between schools, families, and community health providers to support student wellbeing.

    Expand Learning Opportunities

Learning should not stop when the school day ends.

    • Grow after school and summer programs that provide academic support, STEM learning, arts education, and enrichment opportunities.

    • Expand internship, apprenticeship, and mentorship programs that connect students to local careers.

    • Encourage project based learning and hands on education that prepares students for real world challenges.

    Support Early Childhood Education

Early education gives children the foundation they need for lifelong success.

    • Expand access to preschool and pre-K programs, especially in underserved communities.

    • Provide wraparound childcare options that help working families balance jobs and parenting.

    • Ensure early learning programs are affordable and accessible to families across Colorado.

    Healthy Schools and Sustainable Learning

Schools should support both student health and environmental responsibility.

    • Ensure every student has access to nutritious meals through Colorado’s Healthy School Meals for All program.

    • Encourage programs like school gardens, composting, and sustainability projects that help students learn about responsible resource use.

    • Promote healthy learning environments that support student focus and wellbeing.

    Colorado Legislation I Support

HB25-1192 – Financial Literacy Graduation Requirement

SB25-214 – Healthy School Meals for All Program

HB25-1059 – Food Waste Reduction in Public Schools

Other Key Priorities

Why This Matters

This campaign is about standing up for Colorado and fighting for the people who live here.

Families in Erie, Carbon Valley, Longmont, and Lafayette are feeling the pressure of rising costs, expensive healthcare and childcare, and schools that need stronger support. At the same time, we must be ready to stand up to federal overreach and protect the rights and laws Coloradans have chosen for themselves.

I am running to bring practical, people first solutions to the State Capitol, and I will do it without taking corporate PAC money.

In 2026, we need leaders who will:

  • Lower the cost of living

  • Expand access to healthcare and childcare

  • Invest in strong public schools

  • Protect our communities, environment, and democracy

  • Stand up for Colorado when federal politicians try to undermine our rights

I’m ready to fight for that every day.
